MEMORIES SERIES

Many of my pieces touch on the fragility and impermanence of time. While we are able to preserve feelings and emotions, each moment we live slips away with the passing of time. This realization has become my greatest reminder to appreciate every second life gives me, taking in all its joys and sorrows.
Throughout my journey, despite the impermanence of each fleeting moment, it is the feelings and emotions of each lived experience that I carry with me transforming the way I see the world every moment after that. And on the magical occasion that I encounter one of these past feelings, maybe through a particular sound or smell, I allow myself to be taken back to those moments and for just a second they don’t feel so far away after all.
Through this new body of work, I am searching for ways to transfer onto the canvas the feelings and memories of the nature that has surrounded me along my journey; a way to transport myself back to certain moments in time. From the sound of the waves crashing onto Mexican shores outside the bright pink house where my artwork first hung on walls outside my own home; to the sight of the mountain outside my new home in Switzerland changing colors and growing taller with the arrival of new life in the spring, a testament to a year of transformation in this new and exciting chapter of my story.
