ARENAS SERIES

Arenas is a series created to bring nature itself to the canvas and let it to co-create with the pigments, inks, and water in a harmonious dance.

 

Nature and life, in their breathtaking beauty and fleeting ephemerity, are the perpetual muses that inspire my work. Since I first set foot by the sea, I have been captivated by its boundless energy, teeming life, and the kaleidoscope of colors that shift with the passing hours, days, and seasons.

 

I cannot pretend to reflect all that in a painting, but I decided to embrace the risk of letting natural elements play with the fluidity of water on my canvas, accompanying the process with gentleness and patience and giving it time and space. For this, I borrowed some sand from the shores I have been visiting and included it to create pieces with very distinctive characters.
